Use an Active Call on Mobile

Crewvana Mobile can recover and control an already active provider call. It does not start outbound phone calls from Messages, Contacts, or completed-call screens.

Open an active call

The active-call screen opens when Crewvana receives supported incoming-call or recovery information. You may reach it from:

  • An incoming-call notification
  • A Return to call with ... banner shown while a call remains active
  • A refreshed or reopened active-call page when the provider still reports the conference as active

If there is no provider-active call to recover, use the normal desktop or supported phone workflow to place the call.

Use call controls

Available controls can include:

  • Mute and Unmute
  • Keypad
  • Speaker, when the browser exposes audio-output selection
  • Hold and Resume, when the phone connection supports it
  • Transfer, when transfer is supported and another active teammate is available
  • End

If a control is disabled, that browser, device, or provider connection does not support it. For speaker changes, Crewvana may direct you to the phone's system audio controls.

You can leave the call page while the conference continues. Select the fixed Return to call banner to return. Contact tools on the call screen can show Notes, Tasks, Payments, Do Not Disturb, and the Contact Profile when your role permits them.

Keep the call available

Keep the Crewvana web app visible during an active call whenever possible. Mobile browsers and operating systems control audio, background work, notifications, and screen wake behavior. They may suspend the app, interrupt audio, or release the screen wake lock.

If Crewvana was backgrounded, return to the app. It attempts to reconnect when the provider still reports the call active. A Call in progress notification is shown only when you already allowed Crewvana notifications; starting a call never asks for notification permission.

Crewvana's Mobile web app is not a phone-grade native dialer. A closed or suspended app can miss recovery work, and background audio is not guaranteed.

Finish and follow up

After the call ends, Crewvana can show the provider outcome and duration when that information is available. Use the follow-up actions to review or add Notes, Tasks, DND, Payments, Tags, the Contact Profile, or a Message. Select Done to return to the Conversation.

There is no Call Back action in Mobile. Return to the supported desktop or phone workflow to place another call.

Troubleshooting

  • No active call appears: confirm the call is still active in the provider workflow, then reopen Crewvana. A completed conference cannot be restored.
  • Microphone blocked: allow microphone access for your Crewvana site in browser or device settings, then retry the supported call workflow.
  • Audio stopped after switching apps: return to Crewvana and keep it visible. The browser may not preserve background audio.
  • Hold, transfer, or speaker is disabled: use the controls available for the current connection; unsupported capabilities cannot be forced from Mobile.
  • Notification is stale: open Crewvana directly and confirm whether the provider still reports an active call.
