Automations Trigger Selectable node JSON import

Repeat every X

Identifier and availability

  • Type: trigger
  • Stable identifier: repeat_every
  • Status: Selectable — available in the new-node selector and importable.

Purpose

Runs on a repeating schedule.

Prerequisites and context

Required configuration: settings. Review the available context below before using variables.

Parameters

JSON path Type Required Default Allowed values Description
settings object Yes — — Node-specific settings. Unknown keys are rejected.
settings.repeat_every_first_occurrence datetime Yes — — First occurrence in tenant-local time.
settings.repeat_every_number integer Yes 1 1 to 10000 Number of units between runs.
settings.repeat_every_unit string Yes days minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years Repeat interval unit.

Unknown parameter and settings keys are rejected. Resource references use names, emails, document keys, or endpoints rather than database IDs.

Inputs and available variables

Trigger context groups: date.

Templated strings use double braces, for example {{contact.first_name}}. Availability in the editor does not create runtime context; the trigger and preceding branch still need to provide it.

Connections and branches

When used, this node must be the Automation’s only root trigger. Connect it with from set to null and branch set to trigger. It cannot be a branch child.

Connection fragment:

{
    "from": null,
    "to": "trigger_repeat_every",
    "branch": "trigger",
    "order": 1
}

Valid JSON node example

{
    "key": "trigger_repeat_every",
    "type": "trigger",
    "name": "repeat_every",
    "display_name": null,
    "parameters": {
        "settings": {
            "repeat_every_first_occurrence": "2026-09-01T09:00",
            "repeat_every_number": 1,
            "repeat_every_unit": "days"
        }
    }
}

Validation and runtime caveats

The first occurrence is interpreted in the tenant timezone. A missing or invalid schedule cannot become due.
